No, our insurance policy does not cover the contents stored in your unit. If you have a homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy, your stored belongings may be covered, but you should contact your insurance provider to verify coverage. Not all policies extend coverage to items stored off-premises.
For added protection, we offer Tenant Protection Plans through SafeLease, a third-party provider specializing in self-storage coverage. SafeLease offers affordable protection options designed specifically for stored belongings. No, we rent on a month-to-month basis unless the customer prefers a longer term.
While we do not offer moving services, there are a variety of movers available in the area. Check the yellow pages under heading "movers."
No, all of our units on are on ground level. You simply pull your vehicle up to your unit and unload it at the door.
You have 24/7 access to your unit.
All rent is due on the 1st of each month. We grant a 5 day grace period before our Point of Sale system recognizes a payment is late.
Our Point of Sale system automatically overlocks a past due unit on the 6th of the month. At that point, the account is officially past due.
An Overlock fee of $5 is generated on the 6th when the system overlocks the unit. Late fees are generated as a dollar per day (not to exceed $20 monthly) after the 6th of each month.
On the 16th of the month our system automatically generates a reminder notice to you advising the account has gone into past due status per our rental contract.
On the 30th/31st our system will generate a Default Notice to you advising the account has gone into default per our rental contract.
After 45 days of non-pay our system will automatically process the account for Auction. At this time a letter is sent to you by Certified Mail advising your unit has remained unpaid. If the account is not paid in full by the date indicated on the letter, the unit will be auctioned on the date printed on the letter.
ONLY PAYMENT IN FULL WILL STOP THE PROCEEDINGS.
You will need to turn in BOTH keys issued to you. You may do so by coming into the office during business hours, or drop them in the payment slot at the location. Please be sure the unit tab identifying your unit is attached. We will process your move out on the next business day.
Key refunds are processed and mailed on the 6th of each month for the previous month's move outs, or the next business day after the 6th. Please verify we have your current address. You may do so by contacting our office at 217/753-3075, or stopping by the office during business hours.
